All things being equal.
There once was a boy who was caught by a fish. He was put in a container with some rocks and no place to hide. All day strange creatures swam by and stared at him. Some made faces of wonder and delight, others of disgust or disinterest. At first the boy liked seeing all these unfamiliar beings. They were beautiful, ugly, scary, funny and endlessly fascinating. But soon the boy missed his home, and sunshine, and trees, and clouds, and friends. He tried to tell the creatures, but they couldn’t understand his words. He became so sad all he could do was lie on the rocks in his prison. The fish did not care.
